About Us

The Murdoch IT Association (MITA) was created by students, for students. Founded by our president, Emma Wilson, MITA was created at the start of semester 2 of 2024 by a small group of friends with a big vision. A vision to unite all Murdoch IT students and provide a commonplace for all students undertaking Information Technology study. Whether that be an IT undergrad, postgrad, major, minor, master or even just a unit, we want to provide an inclusive community where everyone can interact, support and enjoy themselves through their journey through University, no matter what stage you are in.

MITA was created as an umbrella club to encompass all students within the IT faculty and provide a means for meeting other like-minded people, career opportunities, connections with industry partners, and much more in the works. Even though we are IT-focused, everybody is welcome to attend events, participate in them, and join our community. We will be hosting many social events and competitions over the course of each semester, keep an eye on this website or <join our qpay> to keep updated on every new event!
